Access Dots: Access Safe Indicator

Access Dots is a free Android app developed by Creative Photo Tool. It adds iOS 14 style indicators to your screen whenever any third-party app or service uses your phone's camera or microphone. By enabling the Access Dots Accessibility Service, you can easily configure the app to show colored access dots for camera and microphone access. The app does not request camera or microphone access itself.

One of the key features of Access Dots is the ability to adjust the size and color of the access dots. You can also set their position on the screen and choose to display them whenever your camera or microphone is engaged by a third-party app. Additionally, the app maintains an access log that shows when the camera or microphone was accessed, which app was in the foreground, and how long the access lasted.

Access Dots also allows you to add exempted apps, indicating the apps for which you do not want any access alerts. However, this feature is experimental and may not work reliably on all devices. It's important to note that the app requires Accessibility Service to detect and show alerts like iOS 14, so make sure to enable Access Dots' accessibility service.

For any queries or feedback, you can reach out to the developer via the Feedback section inside the app. Trust in the safety of your phone's camera and microphone usage with Access Dots: Access Safe Indicator.

Note: If the app is killed from the background by the system, you may need to restart your phone to reactivate the Access Dots feature.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
